A different kind of artist

I've always been interested in art, but it goes beyond that. I love art, and all different kinds of art. I love painting, drawing, music, videos, I love all of it. One thing was always missing for me though, at least as far as the visual arts are concerned. If my brain could just print images from my head onto paper I would be rich by now. For a while I felt pretty bad about my inability to draw, paint, or anything that required my hands to make art.

It wasn't until my freshman year that I found a new kind of art. Writing. We were assigned to write 3 different poems. I had a blast for the next 3 days. It was just me a piece of paper and a mechanical pencil that I most likely borrowed from someone and never gave back. After we got our poems back our teacher had told a couple of us to submit our poems into this contest. I submitted 2 of mine not thinking much of it. A couple weeks later a recieved a letter saying both of my poems had been accepted and that both of them would be posted in the book of poems. After this I began to write a lot. I wrote poems, and stories on a daily basis. Then one day it just kind of stopped. Occasionally I think about writing, or I imagine stories in my head. I guess that's why I kind of started this blog. I love to write, and I want the world to see what I have written, and maybe one day one of my stupid little stories or one my poems will reach out to someone who needs it.

Until nex time, sharpen your penciles, paint your canvases, and sculpt your clay.
